Live production from NLR (formerly NREL) PVWatts V8. Virginia preserved full 1:1 retail-rate net metering by SCC final order on April 30, 2026 — both Dominion and APCo retain 1:1. Self-consumption and exports both earn retail (~15¢/kWh on Dominion). Virginia has no state income tax credit, but offers statewide property and sales tax exemptions for residential solar. Virginia also has an active SREC market (homeowners own their SRECs) — not modeled in this calculator. Defaults: south-facing roof mount, 20° tilt, 14% losses.
