Path B (default): net metering — self at full retail (~$0.29/kWh), exports at 80% of retail (~$0.232/kWh) — plus an upfront REF grant ($0.65/W capped at $5,000). Path A: REG production tariff — $0.2723/kWh paid on ALL production (self + export) for 15 years, locked at enrollment. Replaces NM; no REF. After year 15 the system reverts to standard 80% NM. Sales tax (7%) and property tax (20 years) both exempt in BOTH paths. RI has NO state income tax credit. Defaults: south-facing roof mount, 20° tilt, 14% losses.
