Maryland combines full 1:1 retail net metering on BGE / Pepco with a flat $1,000 upfront rebate from the Maryland Energy Administration (Residential Clean Energy Rebate). Plus 6% state sales tax exemption and statewide property tax exemption on added value (some counties stack additional credits). Maryland has NO state income tax credit for solar PANELS — and the battery storage credit (30% / $5,000) is real but its FY2026 funding is exhausted and the portal is closed. MD also has an active SREC market, not modeled here. Defaults: south-facing roof mount, 20° tilt, 14% losses.
