Connecticut solar calculator
Live production from NLR (formerly NREL) PVWatts V8. Connecticut runs the Residential Renewable Energy Solutions (RRES) program with TWO mutually exclusive tariffs — choice locked 20 years at interconnection. Netting Tariff (default): self and export both at full retail (~$0.29/kWh), credits roll indefinitely, minus the Solar Energy Adjustment (SEA) of $0.0402/kWh on ALL production for 2026 enrollees, locked 20 yr. Buy-All Tariff: $0.3289/kWh paid on all production for 20 yr, self-consumption does not apply (you buy all consumption back at retail). SEA applies under both tariffs (skeleton; sources stronger on Netting). After year 20 both revert to whatever tariff exists then — calculator conservatively continues plain retail NM in years 21-25. Federal credit $0 (§25D repealed). State income credit: none. Sales tax exempt (6.35%, saves about $1,662). Property tax exempt indefinitely. Battery (Netting path only): Energy Storage Solutions upfront $250/kWh capped $16,000 + annual performance $300/kW × 10 yr. Defaults: south-facing roof mount, 20° tilt, 14% losses.

Choice is locked 20 years at interconnection. You cannot combine them, switch later, or stack them.
